The future of main ship starting batteries is clearly Lithium-ion. Airwolf Aerospace has supplemental type certificates (STCs) in development for the installation of True Blue Power ultra-low weight, powerful, maintenance free, long lasting, and safe Lithium-ion batteries in business jets and turboprops, including Cessna Citation, Embraer Phenom, Cessna Caravan, and Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. 200 Ah Inverter Battery
Airwolf’s installation STC’s for the True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries for Airbus AS350/AS355/H125, EC-120, EC-130/H130, Bell 206/L/L1/L4/L4, MD369/500 and Enstrom 480 will be approved in November 2023. More helicopter models will be added to the STC after the initial approvals.
During the helicopter STC development, jet and turboprop operators asked us to include their aircraft in our STCs. We listened and are pleased to be exhibiting at NBAA in Las Vegas this year to talk to fixed-wing operators about Lithium-ion batteries for their aircraft.
Airwolf STC installation kits include the high quality, state-of-the-art True Blue Power lithium-ion battery, mounting hardware, simple wiring harness and Airwolf’s Intelligent annunciator/controller. Now with the Airwolf and True Blue Power partnership, operators can enjoy the many benefits of the high-power True Blue Power TB17 (17 amp-hour), TB20 (20 amp-hour), TB30 (30 amp-hour) and TB40 (40 amp-hour) lithium-ion batteries.
True Blue Power batteries utilize the most sophisticated lithium-ion chemistry available, providing unmatched advantages including increased power, significantly reduced weight and extended useful life. The batteries are Technical Standard Order (TSO) approved and are a valuable upgrade from heavy, maintenance-intensive lead-acid and nickel-cadmium (NiCad) alternatives.
